Hello,
My name is Robert Chmiel, and I moved from Poland to America in 1989, just before communism collapsed. I earned a degree in civil engineering, served in the army for a year, and worked as an adjunct at my alma mater until I decided to leave.
When I first arrived in the USA, I could speak Russian and German, but not English. After working at a car wash for two months, I joined a group of Poles in installing floor tiles and cladding walls in a newly constructed office building. Later, I started fabricating stones at a nearby shop and quickly excelled in stonework and tile settings because of my background.
I married in early 1994 and felt confident enough to register Amexpol, LLC in the spring. We have provided high-end stone and tile installation services for over a decade to private and commercial customers throughout NJ. In 2004, we opened a stone fabricating shop with a showroom. Our company, Top Masters, LLC, offers a wide range of home renovation and remodeling services, from design through execution to satisfying results.
Aside from my family and work, I enjoy outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, marathon running, and Ironman races.
I hope to meet you soon.
Best regards,
Robert Chmiel
